Casa de Orefice (pronounced Kah-Sah Deh Oh-Reh-Fee-Cheh) was established in January of 2020 as an avenue to share with friends and family our adventures of relocating to North Carolina as well as my passion for home decor, entertaining, food and travel.
While I do not have any certifications or degrees in home interior design, it’s been said that I should be a professional interior designer because I have the “eye for it”. I love creating spaces that are pretty but livable and budget friendly.
My design style preference is a mix between French country and modern farmhouse. When looking for inspiration I look through my stacks of Pottery Barn and Ballard Design catalogs and anything from Joanna Gaines, but shop at at places like HomeGoods, Marshalls, TJMaxx, Kirkland’s and JoAnn’s.
My favorite hobby is eating. There are people who eat to live and people who live to eat. I would fall under the latter of those two. I’m pretty certain that more than half of my social media pictures are food related and I am not ashamed by that. When we travel, we operate under the belief that calories (and carbs!) do not exist and plan our itinerary around our meals and id-day coffee treats.
Speaking of traveling, we love to take road trips with the pups. We try to plan a mini trip on a quarterly basis to break away from the day to day grind and catch up on some R&R. We have traveled quite a bit in the Southeast area of the US and look forward to expanding our options once we are in North Carolina.
