Throughout the month of November, I have been a busy bee working on decorating our house for Christmas. We typically start putting up decorations mid-late November, but this year we started at the beginning of the month. We, like many others based on the store inventory quickly dwindling, decided to start a little earlier because we are just over this year and needed some Christmas cheer.
Now, let me start off by saying that we LOVE Christmas and I LOVE decorating. So much so that we have THREE Christmas trees in our house and probably would have had a fourth one had the tree I wanted not sold out so quickly. We are a little extra like that. It may seem like a lot work but we have skinnier trees which don’t take too much to decorate. I am all about the skinny trees! Game changer for sure.
Before I start posting pictures of our set up, I thought I would first show you some of the inspiration I used to decorate each room. Starting off with the family room.
Living Room
Blue and white, accented with gold and a touch of red.
As you know, I love blue and white chinoiserie and have various pieces throughout our living room which I wanted to incorporate in the Christmas decor. A couple years ago, I purchased these mini ginger jar ornaments from Williams Sonoma during their after Christmas sale. They are so cute! I already had a lot of the other decorations but needed to repurchase some of the florals because they did not survive the move and being in boxes for two years.
His Office
Navy and Green plaid.
This is the first time we do a tree for the office so I had to start from scratch. I saw these images on Pinterest and thought it was perfect for his office.
Her Office
Colorful. Stripes. Whimsical.
This is basically the theme of my office on a regular basis. Similar to Sergio’s office, this is the first time I have a tree in my office so I had to start from scratch. Thanks to Hobby Lobby and Michaels, it was super easy to achieve.
I realize that I haven’t shown you all the offices yet. Those will come soon!
I am working on some final touches in the rooms but hope to get some posts up in the next week or so!
