In my last post, I talked about how we purchased our dining room furniture and showed my inspiration board for that space. Four months later, I am here with some PICTURES for you all to see the progress of the room.
To say I am happy with the furniture would be an understatement. I LOVE the furniture. The color, shape and details. I couldn’t have asked for a better combination, really. This is the Avondale II set from Havertys.
If you visited our FL house, you may recognize the mirrors above the buffet. I had these in our entry way above the side table. So happy that I kept them because I think they pair so well with the furniture!
For the chairs, there was an option to get a more squared full material seat or the oval shaped. I went with the oval shaped chairs because I felt it would make the room a little more casual. The length of the table is 104 inches. We are able to comfortably fit two chairs (up to three) on both sides of the table. For the ends, we went with arm chairs that we leave next to the buffet when not in use to allow more space for us to get around the room.
One of my favorite details about this furniture is the hardware on the buffet. It’s this twist and pull latch that gives it a more antique look.
I had this orchid floral arrangement in our FL house and it came with us. I moved it into a new pot that I purchased from HomeGoods and topped it off with some moss.
Next, on our ‘to purchase’ list is a new chandelier. I’ve done some browsing online for lights but would really like to go into a store and see some options in person. Hope to do that soon. However, not in much of a rush considering we won’t be hosting any dinners anytime soon. Plus I don’t HATE the chandelier currently in there.
If you have any recommendations for stores or online sites to shop for chandeliers, please let me know!
Stay safe and healthy friends.
