Happy Friday! Welcome back to the third part of the 2020 Holiday Tour series! I am VERY EXCITED for today’s post because I am giving you a glimpse into my playroom office! I went extra ham on all the Christmas decor for my room and I LOVE IT.
The Workspace
Yes, I have two desks (three actually if you count the area where I do my arts and crafts). What can I say? I like my designated areas for things. The wall unit desk is for my personal MAC and the desk in front is my work space where I have my work PC and external monitor. I don’t have to worry about packing up or moving things to make room. It all stays in ONE spot. The wall unit is actually my backdrop of what people see on my video calls and it is the best conversation starter!
Okay, back to the Christmas decor. I’ve collected colorful Christmas decor during the past couple years when everything goes on clearance AFTER Christmas. I am finally able to actually use them!
Probably one of my favorite parts of my Christmas decor is my colorful mini trees! Purchased these at Hobby Lobby.
But are you a REAL FAN of Christmas if you don’t have a vintage pink ceramic Christmas tree?? I found this tree at Marshall’s for like $15 which I was so happy about because Target had them for $30!
Another fun find at Marshall’s was this cute nutcracker!
The Tree
I got my flocked Christmas tree! This one I purchased at Walmart for $50 which I thought was a great deal! It’s 6ft and pre-lit. I wanted to go back and get another for our master bedroom and they were sold out in the multiple locations I searched here and online. I was so bummed because it’s the PERFECT size.
For my tree I wanted COLOR! Colorful ornaments and lights. Y’all, I found the most precious ornaments! I really had to force myself to stop buying more ornaments because I know next year I will see more and want to buy.
I struggled looking for a Christmas tree topper. Contemplated making one out of ribbon like I did for Sergio’s tree but then I found this little sign among the box of decorations that I had and put it on top to see what it looked like. I actually really like it!
To break up the color a bit, I weaved in some striped ribbon. It gives me Kate Spade vibes and love how it looks!
The tree skirt is one that I purchased like three or four years ago, back when I had my own desk at work and had a miniature Christmas tree. Since the tree itself is pretty skinny, this mini skirt was perfect!
The Bar Cart
I have so many ideas for this bar cart. I want to make it a music station and get this pink cruiser to put on the top and vinyls on the bottom. In the meantime, I have a few things on it and added this garland to make it festive.
I love to get festive napkins from like Homegoods or Tuesday Morning. Super cheap and make lunch hour fun.
The Crafting Space
My crafting space is a recent addition. I got the desk which has the ability to go up and down back in November. And the shelves are from Lowe’s. I spruced up the brackets with some gold spray paint to go with the rest of my furniture. I’ve been doing some Christmas crafts at the desk and so happy with it!
How cute is this unicorn nutcracker??!! Did I need another nutcracker when I had already purchased the other nutcracker? No YES! Found her on a whim while walking through Target. They get you every time.
If you made it THIS far in the post, I applaud you. There were a LOT of pictures! And that was only like half the pictures I took. There were a ton more. SO MUCH TO SHOW. I hope to have inspired you for your own workspace now that so many of us are working from home nowadays. Or inspired you to decorate your kids room. Ha!
